For what this drive is (3TB model), it does a fairly good job of providing stable storage for a small home network. I've got it plugged directly into an Apple Airport Extreme to take advantage of the gigabit ethernet and I've been really impressed with the file transfer speed.
Upon first setting everything up, the software seemed a little slow, and I found the Twonky media rescan portion to be a little frustrating. I dumped about 22,000 music files into the public music folder, and it seemed to Twonky forever to scan and find them. I'm hoping a firmware update in the near future can solve this.
Overall, a great bare bones drive for a basic home network setup, which in my case is a PS3, an iMac and a Yamaha RX-V671 network receiver. Once I figure out how to get all album artwork to display on my PS3 and RX-V671, I'll be happy. Still trying to figure out if this is a limitation of the WD drive or the aforementioned devices.

Bought this for our small business to hold our extensive digital image files and free up space on the main server. Installed easy, works well- So I bought one for home, too!
